Darn good food.

Slow Acre is the result of my evolving love and relationship with food. After returning home to the Far South Coast of NSW in early 2020, I saw this time as an opportunity to reassess and pivot the direction of my life and build a platform for myself to share my passion for homegrown and homemade food.

Food is a form of therapy to me. A means of creating and maintaining friendships; it is how I try to find my place and comfort in the world. It is something I know I have no matter where I go or who I am with.

I cook for myself, for my family and friends. And now, with Slow Acre, I can cook for you too. Slow Acre is take home meals, supper clubs and private dinner parties as well as custom food orders for special events. This will also be a place where I share my recipes, the story behind my creations and my exploration and experimentation with all things food.

The name Slow Acre comes from the notion of taking a step back and away from the glorification of being busy and the enjoyment and utilisation of the acres up which myself and my family live.
Much of what I cook with has been grown in my family's organic orchard, free from nasty chemicals and always in line with the seasonal produce for our cool temperate climate.
